  Did they use to applaud after reinstatement after being Disfellowshipped, but then it stopped?

  i don't remember disfellowshippings happening very often and announcements about being re instated but i think i remember that we used to clap hands if someone came back after being disfellowshipped.

  but then i think clapping wasn't allowed.

  am i correct in my recollections?.

  The real reason the clapping stopped was that even though say, the person was a child molester but liked in the kingdom hall the victims might feel kinda bad if now this guy was back in action....we don't want to upset anyone now do we.

  There are many....I just couldn't get my head around.

  These are a few.

  1. This blood thirsty god that had no problem killing/genociding men women, children and even their farm animals to made a point. As Delmar said in Oh brother where art Thou "Not the livestock!"

  2. 8,500,000,00 on the planet and 8,500,000 Jehovah;s Witnesses. He can only save one person out of a 1,000 and this is suppose to be some kind of victory for him? I would say numbers wise (if either of them even exist) Satan would be the winner in this match!

  Any other thoughts?

  i still like the commentary on the jw.org monthly’s, i can skip through some parts.

  but it seems like he is pushing too hard to put out videos and the quality is getting very low on the content..

  I agree, however as they say "you only one chance to make a first impression." and frankly if I was a lurking JW and saw him for the first time and his grooming I would think to myself this guy looks like "I don't give a shit" There is a reason why JWs dress up when they go to their meetings and in service....they want people to take them seriously. I'm not saying he needs to put a suit on, however how about running a comb through your hair and maybe something besides a T shirt.

  When I see all the Star War figurines and paraphernalia in his "Bunker" I think this someone who hasn't quite grown up yet.

  Sorry, but if your real purpose is to help as many people as possible out of the Borg and to make adult decisions in their lives, please look like one.

  I don't know I just mentioned him in a tread a couple a months ago and asked "what had happened to him" and the whole thread was removed.

  So I guess we can talk about him now.

  All I can say is he is NOT "The Reluctant Apostate" He is doing very well $$$ making his living by attacking the Watchtower.

  Which is fine by me.

  I wished he did a little more grooming, he always looks like he just woke up sleeping under a bridge. If there was ever a preconceived notion on what a Apostate looks like...I'm afraid he would be it.

  Also he needs to get rid of the whole "This Lloyd from the Bunker" thing.

  The only person you think of hunkered down in a bunker is that guy that died at the end of WWII.

  P.S. Not like the rest of us here the worst that could happen to Lloyd is the end of the WTB&TS because he would be out of a job.

  In love with disfellowshipped JW

  i started dating a coworker who is a divorced jw.

  found out he was disfellowshipped, and he was trying to figure out how to make things work.

  i am not a jw, and his family is not supportive of the relationship.

  growing up in the 70's and 80's in the jw religion who remembers the massive stadium gigs the watchtower used to hold?.

  we used to denounce false religion in the starkest of terms.

  we were right and by god we were letting anyone who listened know it.

  Since you have been in the organization a long time you know how it works. The only time they really have any interest in you is when you are coming into it or leaving it.

  Like all cults, they really don't like you leaving it. You say you still want these people in your life but you don't want to believe the way they do....that makes sense to you of course because you have stop drinking the Kool Aid but it wont to them.

  Bottom line it can be done but it's going to be tricky....It's like making love to the Black Widow spider you might be able to do it but you might get eaten too.

  hello, i am in the beginning stages of a slow fade.

  over the years i have become more and more dissatisfied with the beliefs, teachings, and organizational practices of the organization.

  i no longer have faith in it.

  You got a point. Maybe you should stay in. You sure don't want to be on the wrong side when your loving god Jehovah (that you still believe in) comes to Earth to kill 8 BILLION men, women and children, even though vast majority of those people he'll be killing never even heard him.

  Just because his organization is corrupt I sure he is still a cool guy.

  If you want to believe in god that's OK but Jehovah....

  Time to deprogram yourself my friend.
